Description
Course Content
This online Paediatric First Aid course is essential for anyone who works or lives with children; parents, teachers, child-minders and carers, leisure centre staff. You never know when an emergency may happen and when you will need to use first aid skills to remedy a potentially life-threatening situation. It examines how you should adapt basic First Aid techniques for a child or baby and is intended to accompany our online First Aid training package.
By the end of the course, you’ll know how to interact with a young casualty, how to keep them calm, and when to call for emergency support. You’ll learn how to manage potentially life-threatening conditions until professional help arrives.
If you enjoy this online course, we strongly recommend you attend a hands-on first aid training session from a local training provider for practical first aid training with realistic scenarios and opportunities to practice the skills you learn here online.
Training includes all of the topics covered in the Emergency First Aid at Work course, and complies with the current guidelines published by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
