Course overview:
The chemical peel course gives you the skills and knowledge you need to implement this treatment within your business. This course covers all the knowledge you need for carrying out chemical peels with a number of different acids.
The practical element of this course is using a range of AHA and BHA peels, enabling the student to use any brand of chemical peel in their own working environment. With the vast variety of different peeling agents, all having different pH and percentage strengths, different modes of action, methods of application, and intended depth of penetration, chemical peeling is a complex skill. When performed correctly, it is a very safe and affordable modern treatment your clients will wish to return again and again for. It helps all skin types, and a wide variety of conditions including collagen loss and laxity, lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and acne scarring. They are very effective, have a little downtime, and are cost-effective for both the practitioner and client.
All equipment required to do the course is covered in the course cost, to keep the cost of the course to a minimum there are no starter kits provided with the chemical peel course, however, starter kits are readily available to purchase from recommended suppliers direct, following the end of your course.

Pre-requisites: Level 2 or 3 Beauty Therapy/Beauty Facial & Skincare including Anatomy & Physiology.
Teaching Format: In Person training
Model Required? Yes, if taught individually. Otherwise, students will work on each other. Check ‘contraindications’ in the course manual to determine suitability for treatment for yourself or prior to choosing your model.

Required Self-Guided (Theory) Learning: 90 hours
Practical Course Length: 1 day full course
Assessment: Completion of guided home study and preparation of written assessment prior to the practical training day. On the practical training days, continuous formative assessment, verbal questions, group discussion and performance of a chemical peel treatment with minimal guidance from your tutor, along with final completion of the written assessment.
Case Studies Required: None – however practice on friends and family, following completion of practical training days, is highly recommended, prior to working on the public.
Accrediting Body: Professional Beauty Direct (PBD) and Independent Accredited Training Solutions (IATS) and approved as insurable by Insync, BGi UK and Westminster Insurance, however please check with your own insurer to see if they will also cover this qualification
