Important information
Your booking is subject to our full
terms and conditions.
|
Your commitment: Your booking is a firm commitment to complete your chosen course and signifies your agreement to these general terms and conditions.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: You have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of purchasing your course. Your course purchase marks the beginning of service delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you notify us in writing within the 14-day cooling-off period, we will refund or amend your booking, provided your training has not already begun. Refunds are subject to a £15 administration charge to cover losses incurred due to third-party banking fees.
Cancellations: Once the statutory 14-day cooling-off period has expired, your booking becomes a binding contract. If you subsequently cancel your course, any entitlement to a refund will be determined in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and applicable consumer law. A decision not to attend your course, a change in your personal or financial circumstances, or simply changing your mind after the cooling-off period has expired does not entitle you to a refund of any sums already paid, including your course deposit, tutor fees, or other charges relating to your booking.
Because practical training places, tutor time and administrative resources are reserved specifically for your booking, cancellation after the cooling-off period is likely to result in you remaining liable for some or all of the course fees, depending on the circumstances, our ability to reduce our losses, and the losses directly resulting from your cancellation.
If you are unable to attend your training after the cooling-off period has expired, your options will be governed by our rescheduling policy, which sets out the circumstances in which training may be rearranged and any applicable charges.
Consumer Rights Act 2015: In the unlikely event that you feel that the training delivered was not in line with professional standards, or if there is a breakdown in tutor-student rapport that significantly affects your learning, please notify us as soon as possible. We will investigate and may offer a change of tutor or a suitable resolution where appropriate.
Digital courses and the cooling-off period: By accessing or downloading any digital course material within the 14-day statutory cancellation period, you agree to waive your right to a refund for that course. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty or inaccessible digital content.
Rescheduling your course: Requests for cancellation can only be accepted in writing. If you wish to cancel your course, please inform Natural Touch Training immediately by email.
Natural Touch Training cannot be held responsible for personal circumstances that prevent attendance, including transport problems, childcare issues, or severe weather.
If you are unable to attend a confirmed training day, the following conditions apply:
- Advance notice (30 days or more): If you provide at least 30 days’ notice, you may reschedule your training once to another available date at no additional cost, subject to tutor availability. A subsequent rescheduling request, regardless of the amount of notice given, will be subject to the applicable minimum rescheduling fee. A maximum of two rescheduled training dates will be permitted for any course booking.
- Late notice (14 days or more): If you provide at least 14 days’ notice, your booking may still be rescheduled, subject to tutor availability. However, a rescheduling fee of £60 per training day will apply. This fee is separate from your course fees and contributes towards the administrative costs of rearranging your training while helping to compensate your tutor, who is unlikely to be able to fill the vacant training day at short notice.
- Very late notice (less than 14 days): If you give less than 14 days’ notice, your training may still be rescheduled, subject to tutor availability. However, because your tutor is unlikely to be able to fill the vacant training day at short notice, you will be required to pay the tutor’s full daily training fee again for each rearranged training day, before the replacement training can take place. Any outstanding tutor fees remain payable in addition to any applicable rescheduling fees or replacement training fees.
Any applicable fees must be paid before a replacement training date will be confirmed.
All rescheduling requests must be made in writing, to both Natural Touch Training and your course tutor.
A maximum of two rescheduled training dates will be permitted for any course booking, regardless of the amount of notice given. Subsequent requests for alternative course dates will not be possible, and no refund will be offered.
Failure to pay any applicable rescheduling fees within 14 days of our request, or before the replacement training date (whichever is sooner), will result in the booking being cancelled.
For courses lasting more than one training day, if you are unable to attend any scheduled day, you may be required to join the next available course to complete your outstanding training.
On rare occasions it may be possible to arrange a ‘catch-up’ day. However, these are a private arrangement between you and your tutor and will be charged at their standard daily rate. Where a tutor agrees to provide a private catch-up day, Natural Touch Training is not responsible for availability or scheduling. Catch-up days are not guaranteed and are offered entirely at the discretion of the tutor.
Exceptional circumstances: Only in genuine emergencies such as acute illness or medical emergencies may Natural Touch Training, at its discretion, waive or reduce fees. Appropriate supporting evidence (e.g. a doctor’s note) will be required.
Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure to deliver your course due to events beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, transport disruption, or tutor illness. In such cases, we will offer alternative dates or reschedule your training. Refunds will not be provided unless we are unable to offer at least two alternative dates within a 6-month period.
Where we are able to offer at least two reasonable alternative training dates at the same or a reasonably accessible location within six months, our contractual obligation to deliver your course will be considered fulfilled. If you choose not to accept any of those alternatives, no refund will be due.
Events outside our control: We are not liable for course disruptions due to events outside our reasonable control, such as tutor illness, transport disruption, severe weather, or public health restrictions. In such cases, we will offer alternative dates or reschedule your training. Refunds will not be provided unless we are unable to offer at least two alternative dates within a 6-month period.
Tutor substitution: While every effort is made to ensure your course is delivered by your originally assigned tutor, Natural Touch Training reserves the right to substitute a tutor if necessary due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances. A substitute tutor may be in a different location where reasonably necessary and practicable. All substitute tutors are fully qualified and approved to deliver the course to the same high standard. No refunds will be issued due to tutor changes unless a suitable alternative cannot be arranged.
For the purposes of these terms, a training day includes any scheduled practical training, assessment, or other in-person training session forming part of your course.
Course prices: The prices shown on the Natural Touch Training website at the time of booking are the prices you will be charged. We cannot be responsible for incorrect prices advertised elsewhere. Prices are subject to change and the advertised price is inclusive of VAT.
Payment terms: Although your booking deposit is paid directly on our website, the remaining balance is paid directly to your tutor, unless you are paying under an approved instalment plan. Your tutor will provide payment details and confirm the final amount payable and the payment deadline.
Unless otherwise agreed, the remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before your scheduled training date. If your course is booked within 14 days of the agreed training date, the full balance becomes payable immediately upon booking.
If payment is not received by the agreed deadline, your tutor may cancel your agreed training dates. This does not affect your contractual obligation to pay the balance of the course fee, which remains payable in full.
Where training dates are lost due to late or non-payment, any replacement dates will be treated as a student-requested rearrangement and will be subject to the rescheduling terms set out in these conditions, including any applicable rescheduling fees or replacement training fees.
Replacement training dates are entirely subject to tutor availability and will only be confirmed once all outstanding course fees and any applicable rescheduling or replacement training fees have been paid.
Failure to pay any outstanding course fees, rescheduling fees or replacement training fees does not cancel your contractual obligation to pay those sums. Natural Touch Training reserves the right to recover any outstanding amounts through debt recovery procedures or legal action, together with any reasonable costs and statutory interest recoverable by law. No further training, assessment, certification or access to course resources will be provided until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.
Spreading the cost of your course: There are various options for spreading the cost of your course payments. If you use PayPal you may be able to take advantage of their Pay-in-3 option to spread the cost over 3 interest-free instalments, or PayPal Credit to spread the cost over a longer term. For our more expensive courses, we also offer an interest-free instalment option with direct monthly payments up to 12 months. You can find our terms and conditions for this option here.
Course entry requirements: Some of our courses require prior experience or prerequisite qualifications and you will be asked to provide evidence if this is the case. Your booking deposit confirms that you can meet those pre-course requirements, and will be able to provide evidence. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure their qualifications meet our requirements to avoid any administrative fee for refunds. If you are in any doubt about the suitability of your prerequisite qualifications or experience, please get in touch with us before you book to check the suitability of your qualification. Such evidence must be uploaded no later than 14 days after your course booking.
Your course may be rescheduled or cancelled if you are unable to provide evidence within 14 days of your booking.
Online qualifications are not accepted as a prerequisite for advanced courses, except for Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology.
Equal opportunities: Natural Touch Training provides a flexible and supportive learning environment so that everyone can benefit from the opportunities provided. Our courses are regularly reviewed and updated and the feedback we receive from our students is very important in guiding this process.
We treat everyone as equal; we do not treat anyone differently on the grounds of race, gender, gender identity, disability, age, marital status, religious belief or sexual orientation. However, we also realise that some people may need more support than others on their learning journey and our tutors will do everything they can to help you overcome these challenges. Our inclusivity and accessibility policy is here.
We will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment towards Natural Touch Training tutors or other students and it is the responsibility of all students and tutors to fully support and comply with this mandate.
Accessibility and support needs: We are committed to making our training accessible to all learners. If you have any specific learning needs, physical disabilities, or require adjustments to fully participate in your course, please notify us at the time of booking or at least 14 days before your training date. Reasonable adjustments, such as additional time, seating arrangements, or support materials, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note, while we will make every effort to accommodate support workers or interpreters, their costs are the responsibility of the student. You can email us, or use our Learning Support Form to let us know.
Course duration: Most courses, both online and in person, are designed to be completed within a specified timescale to encourage course progression, effective learning and course success. Unless otherwise stated within the course description, our courses must be completed within 12 months. If you are unable to complete the course within the specified time, you must inform Natural Touch Training by email before the course completion date lapses. To complete a course that has already lapsed without prior written explanation you may request a course extension for which a fee equal to 20% of the current course cost will apply.
Course materials: Your course manual and any additional material will be available to download from My Account on this website once your deposit has been paid. Your tutor may email you additional material, specific to your course. You are required to bring all of this material to your training, either on paper or in electronic format. In general, course manuals are available to download for 12 months from the date of purchase. Online courses are accessible for 12 months, unless otherwise stated (please refer to individual course descriptions).
Providing a model: For some courses, you will be required to provide a model body to practice on. Your course will be cancelled if you fail to provide a model when asked to do so.
Videos, photos and course materials: No audio or video recording or photo taken during your training may be shared or made public, including on social media. Your course materials are the property of Natural Touch Training and may not be shared or distributed. If you are training with a number of students you may share the material amongst yourselves.
Use of photography: On some courses, your tutor may take photos or videos of training in progress for educational or marketing purposes. We will always ask for your consent before doing so. You may withdraw this consent at any time by notifying us in writing.
Insurance: All practising therapists must carry adequate insurance. Natural Touch Training and your tutor can provide advice on this. Student therapists must ensure they have adequate cover whilst they are training, before, during and after the course. Your tutor may choose not to train you if you cannot prove that you are properly and adequately insured. For hobbyists, who choose only to work with friends and family, insurance may not be necessary.
On the day of your course: Please ensure you are on time, in good health and bring with you everything that is required to complete your course.
Attendance and training hours: All students are required to attend the full duration of each scheduled training day, as advised by your course tutor. Our courses are structured to meet accreditation and certification standards, and tutors carefully plan their sessions to the required teaching hours. Arriving late, leaving early, or requesting changes to the agreed schedule may result in missed essential content and could affect your ability to achieve certification.
While we will always aim to be supportive in genuine emergencies, advance notice must be given where possible, and any variation in training times is at the discretion of your tutor. Please note that if you are training with other students, partial attendance may be considered unfair to your peers who have committed to the full day.
Failure to attend: If you do not attend your scheduled training and have not agreed a rescheduled date in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, your booking will be treated as cancelled by you. Any refund or rescheduling will be subject to the cancellation and rescheduling policy, and non-attendance does not entitle you to a refund except where required under applicable consumer law.
Health and safety waiver: By attending a course, you confirm you are in good health and fit to participate. You agree to notify us in advance of any illness or medical condition that may affect your participation. For the safety of all students and tutors, we may require you to follow government health advice, wear PPE, or self-isolate if symptomatic. In case of illness, a reschedule may be offered at our discretion with supporting evidence.
Medical conditions: If you have any medical condition, injury, or disability that may affect your ability to participate fully in the training, you must notify us at the time of booking. This includes allergies, infectious conditions, or recent surgeries. We reserve the right to request a doctor’s note confirming your fitness to attend. Failure to disclose may impact your participation or certification.
Student conduct: We expect students to behave in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner towards their tutor and fellow students at all times. Any abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in your removal from the course without refund. Maintaining personal hygiene and appropriate dress is essential, especially for practical training days.
Student communications and engagement: Students are responsible for monitoring their email or other forms of contact and responding promptly to communications from Natural Touch Training and their tutor regarding their training. Failure to respond may result in delays to training progression, assessments, certification, or course completion. Natural Touch Training cannot be held responsible for delays or disruption caused by a student’s lack of engagement, and in cases where a student repeatedly fails to respond to reasonable communications relating to their training, Natural Touch Training reserves the right to cancel the course without refund.
Group bookings: Where two or more students choose to train together, your tutor may nominate one student as the primary contact and direct routine communications regarding the course to them. It is the responsibility of all students within the group to ensure they receive and act upon any information relating to their training, and Natural Touch Training cannot be held responsible where one student fails to pass on information to another. The nomination of a primary contact is for administrative convenience only and does not affect the individual responsibilities of each student under these terms and conditions.
Limitation of liability: Natural Touch Training and its tutors accept no liability for loss, damage, or injury to persons or property while attending the training venue. You attend courses at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety, belongings, and actions. Please ensure you have appropriate insurance coverage where applicable.
Right to refuse training: We reserve the right to refuse or terminate training for any student who fails to comply with these terms, behaves inappropriately, or fails to meet necessary prerequisites or conduct standards. No refund will be offered in such cases.
Certification requirements: In order to receive your completion certificate, all elements of the course must be completed to the satisfaction of your course tutor. This includes evidence of any prerequisite qualifications, preparatory work, practical work, written assessments and final assessments. If you are unsure about what is required for certification on a particular course, please ask.
Deadlines for written assessments and case studies: If your course includes written assessments or case studies, you will be provided with a deadline by which all work must be submitted. It is your responsibility to meet this deadline. Failure to submit your work on time, without providing a written request for an extension prior to the deadline, may result in you being unable to complete the course or receive certification. Requests for extensions are subject to approval and must be made in writing to Natural Touch Training.
Plagiarism & AI in coursework and written assessments: Students are expected to submit work that reflects their own understanding and learning, including written assessments, practical training tasks, coursework, and any other submitted materials. Excessive use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) to generate answers, or copying content directly from course manuals, published works, or other students’ submissions, is not permitted. Natural Touch Training reserves the right to use AI detection and plagiarism-checking tools to review all submitted work. If excessive AI use or plagiarism is detected, students will be given one opportunity to resubmit the work in their own words by a specified deadline. Courses will not be considered complete until all assessments, including any required resubmissions, have been received and satisfactorily marked.
Assessment appeals: In the rare event that you do not successfully meet the criteria for certification, your tutor will offer clear feedback and, where appropriate, an opportunity to retake or complete outstanding work. If you wish to appeal an assessment decision, you must submit your concerns in writing to [email protected] within 7 days of receiving your assessment outcome. Appeals will be reviewed by a senior tutor, and a final decision will be communicated to you within 14 days.
Repeating a course: If your tutor feels you would benefit from further practice before certification, you may be offered the opportunity to retake a 1-day course once, free of charge, within 6 months of your original course date (subject to availability). For longer courses, you may be offered the opportunity to retake 1 training day, under the same terms. This offer is made at the discretion of your tutor and is a goodwill gesture. Additional retakes will incur a fee.
Accreditation and use of logos: Natural Touch Training is accredited and recognised with many of the UK’s top governing and professional bodies. As such, our courses enable you to practice professionally and gain membership and insurance. Once qualified, you are entitled to use your course certificate to provide evidence of your training, but no independent use of the Natural Touch Training logo itself is granted without written permission.
Complaints: We are committed to providing a high standard of training and customer service. If something hasn’t met your expectations, we’d like the opportunity to put it right. Please email us at [email protected] with details of your concern. All complaints are treated confidentially and investigated fairly and impartially.
We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 48 working hours (Monday to Friday) and will keep you informed of the progress of our investigation where appropriate.
If your complaint relates to your tutor or your training, we may need to discuss the matter with those involved so that we can fully investigate the circumstances. Our aim is always to resolve concerns promptly, professionally, and fairly for everyone involved.
We also welcome constructive feedback, as it helps us continually improve the quality of our courses and the service we provide.
