Your commitment: Your booking is a firm commitment to complete your chosen course and signifies your agreement to these general terms and conditions.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: You have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of your purchase. Your course purchase marks the beginning of service delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you inform us in writing within 14 days, we will refund or change your booking, as long as your training has not already begun. Refunds are subject to a charge of £25 to cover third-party banking fees. After the cooling-off period, refunds are not generally offered unless the course cannot be delivered as described or fails to meet the standards expected under consumer law.
Consumer Rights Act 2015: In the unlikely event that you feel that the training delivered was not in line with professional standards, or if there is a breakdown in tutor-student rapport that significantly affects your learning, please notify us as soon as possible. We will investigate and may offer a change of tutor or a suitable resolution where appropriate.
Digital courses and the cooling-off period: By accessing or downloading any digital course material within the 14-day statutory cancellation period, you agree to waive your right to a refund for that course. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty or inaccessible digital content.
If you cannot attend a training day that has been organised for you, then you must give us advance notification of 14 days, in writing. Where the required notice is given, you will be offered the option to reschedule your training. However, where the required notice is not given, you will be offered the option to reschedule your training but an administration fee of £30 will be charged per day of rescheduled training to compensate your tutor for vacant diary dates that cannot be immediately filled.
Cancellations & refunds: Requests for cancellation can only be accepted in writing. If you wish to cancel your course, please inform Natural Touch Training™ immediately by email.
Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances: Natural Touch Training™ cannot be held responsible for unforseen circumstances such as transport issues or transport cancellations, weather problems, if you have to work suddenly, cannot find a childminder or if you or your child become unwell meaning that you cannot attend a course. In exceptional circumstances, such as acute or medical emergencies, you may reschedule your training. However, an administration fee of £30 will be charged for each cancelled and rescheduled training day, and a doctor’s note will be required.
Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure to deliver your course due to events beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, transport disruption, or tutor illness. We will offer to reschedule your training at the earliest possible convenience.
Events outside our control: We are not liable for course disruptions due to events outside our reasonable control, such as tutor illness, transport disruption, severe weather, or public health restrictions. In such cases, we will offer alternative dates or reschedule your training. Refunds will not be provided unless we are unable to offer at least two alternative dates within a 6-month period.
Tutor substitution: While every effort is made to ensure your course is delivered by your originally assigned tutor, Natural Touch Training™ reserves the right to substitute a tutor if necessary due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances. All substitute tutors are fully qualified and approved to deliver the course to the same high standard. No refunds will be issued due to tutor changes unless a suitable alternative cannot be arranged.
Course prices: The prices shown on the Natural Touch Training™ website at the time of booking are the prices you will be charged. We cannot be responsible for incorrect prices advertised elsewhere. Prices are subject to change.
Payment terms: Although your booking deposit is paid directly on our website, the remaining payment is paid directly to your tutor unless you choose to pay for your course in full, in which case we will make the payment to your tutor before your course. Your tutor will provide you with payment details, and confirm the final amount payable. This final payment must be made not less than 14 days before your agreed course date, unless the course is booked within 14 days of the arrange course date, in which case full payment becomes due upon booking. If payment has not been made within 7 days your course will be cancelled, but the full course fee will still be due.
Spreading the cost of your course: There are various options for spreading the cost of your course payments. If you use PayPal you may be able to take advantage of their Pay-in-3 option to spread the cost over 3 interest-free instalments, or PayPal Credit to spread the cost over a longer term. For our more expensive courses, we also offer an interest-free instalment option with direct monthly payments up to 12 months. You can find our terms and conditions for this option here.
Course prerequisites: Some of our courses require prior experience or prerequisite qualifications and you will be asked to provide evidence if this is the case. Your booking deposit confirms that you can meet those pre-course requirements, and will be able to provide evidence. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure their qualifications meet our requirements to avoid any administrative fee for refunds. If you are in any doubt about the suitability of your prerequisite qualifications or experience, please get in touch with us before you book to check the suitability of your qualification. Such evidence must be uploaded at least 14 days before your course date. Online qualifications are not accepted as a prerequisite for advanced courses, except for Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology.
Equal opportunities: Natural Touch Training™ provides a flexible and supportive learning environment so that everyone can benefit from the opportunities provided. Our courses are regularly reviewed and updated and the feedback we receive from our students is very important in guiding this process.
We treat everyone as equal; we do not treat anyone differently on the grounds of race, gender, gender identity, disability, age, marital status, religious belief or sexual orientation. However, we also realise that some people may need more support than others on their learning journey and our tutors will do everything they can to help you overcome these challenges. Our inclusivity and accessibility policy is here.
We will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment towards Natural Touch Training™ tutors or other students and it is the responsibility of all students and tutors to fully support and comply with this mandate.
Accessibility and support needs: We are committed to making our training accessible to all learners. If you have any specific learning needs, physical disabilities, or require adjustments to fully participate in your course, please notify us at the time of booking or at least 14 days before your training date. Reasonable adjustments, such as additional time, seating arrangements, or support materials, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note, while we will make every effort to accommodate support workers or interpreters, their costs are the responsibility of the student. You can email us, or use our Learning Support Form to let us know.
Course duration: Most courses, both online and in person, are designed to be completed within a specified timescale to encourage course progression, effective learning and course success. Unless otherwise stated within the course description, our courses must be completed within 12 months. If you are unable to complete the course within the specified time, you must inform Natural Touch Training™ by email before the course completion date lapses. To complete a course that has already lapsed without prior written explanation you may request a course extension for which a fee equal to 20% of the current course cost will apply.
Course materials: Your course manual and any additional material will be available to download from My Account on this website once your deposit has been paid. Your tutor may email you additional material, specific to your course. You are required to bring all of this material to your training, either on paper or in electronic format. In general, course manuals are available to download for 12 months from the date of purchase. Online courses are accessible for 12 months, unless otherwise stated (please refer to individual course descriptions).
Providing a model: For some courses, you will be required to provide a model body to practice on. Your course will be cancelled if you fail to provide a model when asked to do so.
Videos, photos and course materials: No audio or video recording or photo taken during your training may be shared or made public, including on social media. Your course materials are the property of Natural Touch Training™ and may not be shared or distributed. If you are training with a number of students you may share the material amongst yourselves.
Use of photography: On some courses, your tutor may take photos or videos of training in progress for educational or marketing purposes. We will always ask for your consent before doing so. You may withdraw this consent at any time by notifying us in writing.
Insurance: All practising therapists must carry adequate insurance. Natural Touch Training™ and your tutor can provide advice on this. Student therapists must ensure they have adequate cover whilst they are training, before, during and after the course. Your tutor may choose not to train you if you cannot prove that you are properly and adequately insured. For hobbyists, who choose only to work with friends and family, insurance may not be necessary.
On the day of your course: Please ensure you are on time, in good health and bring with you everything that is required to complete your course.
Health and safety waiver: By attending a course, you confirm you are in good health and fit to participate. You agree to notify us in advance of any illness or medical condition that may affect your participation. For the safety of all students and tutors, we may require you to follow government health advice, wear PPE, or self-isolate if symptomatic. In case of illness, a reschedule may be offered at our discretion with supporting evidence.
Medical conditions: If you have any medical condition, injury, or disability that may affect your ability to participate fully in the training, you must notify us at the time of booking. This includes allergies, infectious conditions, or recent surgeries. We reserve the right to request a doctor’s note confirming your fitness to attend. Failure to disclose may impact your participation or certification.
Student conduct: We expect students to behave in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner towards their tutor and fellow students at all times. Any abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in your removal from the course without refund. Maintaining personal hygiene and appropriate dress is essential, especially for practical training days.
Limitation of liability: Natural Touch Training™ and its tutors accept no liability for loss, damage, or injury to persons or property while attending the training venue. You attend courses at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety, belongings, and actions. Please ensure you have appropriate insurance coverage where applicable.
Right to refuse training: We reserve the right to refuse or terminate training for any student who fails to comply with these terms, behaves inappropriately, or fails to meet necessary prerequisites or conduct standards. No refund will be offered in such cases.
Certification requirements: In order to receive your completion certificate, all elements of the course must be completed to the satisfaction of your course tutor. This includes evidence of any prerequisite qualifications, preparatory work, practical work, written assessments and final assessments. If you are unsure about what is required for certification on a particular course, please ask.
Assessment appeals: In the rare event that you do not successfully meet the criteria for certification, your tutor will offer clear feedback and, where appropriate, an opportunity to retake or complete outstanding work. If you wish to appeal an assessment decision, you must submit your concerns in writing to [email protected] within 7 days of receiving your assessment outcome. Appeals will be reviewed by a senior tutor, and a final decision will be communicated to you within 14 days.
Repeating a course: If your tutor feels you would benefit from further practice before certification, you may be offered the opportunity to retake a 1-day course once, free of charge, within 6 months of your original course date (subject to availability). For longer courses, you may be offered the opportunity to retake 1 training day, under the same terms. This offer is made at the discretion of your tutor and is a goodwill gesture. Additional retakes will incur a fee.
Accreditation and use of logos: Natural Touch Training™ is accredited and recognised with many of the UK’s top governing and professional bodies. As such, our courses enable you to practice professionally and gain membership and insurance. Once qualified, you are entitled to use your course certificate to provide evidence of your training, but no independent use of the Natural Touch Training™ logo itself is granted without written permission.
Complaints: Your feedback is important to us and at the end of your course you will be asked for your comments. However, if you have an issue you would like to address before this time, please email [email protected] in complete confidence. We take complaints of any nature very seriously and will respond to your initial communication within 48 hours, during the working week.
