Studying for our Anatomy & Physiology qualification alongside this course is highly recommended, but not required.
Do I need to bring a model?

In groups, students will work on each other.
Remember to check ‘contraindications’ in the course manual to determine suitability for treatment for yourself or prior to choosing your model.
If you have trouble finding a model for your course, please let your tutor know and they will do their best to find one for you.
Is this course accredited and can I get insurance?
This course is carefully reviewed and accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).
It is approved as insurable by Wellbeing Insurance, Insync, BGi UK, Westminster Insurance.
If you already have professional insurance, please check with your own insurer to see if they will also cover this qualification. Most will.
How is this course assessed?
- ✅ Guided self-study with our course manuals
- ✅ Practical observation and hands-on training
- ✅ A short written assessment
You will complete your guided home study before the practical training day(s).
On the practical training day(s), your tutor will assess your progress with verbal questions and by observing you as you perform a treatment.
Your written assessment is completed after the training day and submitted to your tutor within 2 weeks, except for some longer courses, where it is completed on the last training day.
If you’re choosing a refresher course, it will be assessed via observation of a treatment with minimal guidance from your tutor.
How do I complete the theory part of my course?
All our courses include a theory component that you complete at your own pace. This is delivered as self-guided learning materials, which include:
📖 2 course manuals and additional information
You will be able to download these and start to prepare for your training as soon as you purchase your course.
💻 Online modules or e-learning content for some courses.
For example, our longer Level 3 courses come with our Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology course included as standard. And you also get access to our Business & Marketing primers on those longer courses too.
🎧 Video demonstrations and supporting resources are available for many courses, as well as audio versions of our manuals.
You should read and study all the materials thoroughly, ensuring you understand the concepts before moving on to practical training. Your tutor will want to confirm your understanding of the manuals.
The theory component can all be completed at home, allowing you to fit your study around work, family, or other commitments. Once you have completed the theory, you will be ready to attend the practical sessions, where you will apply what you have learned under the guidance of your qualified tutor.
Do I need to do case studies?
Case studies are not required for this course.
However, you are strongly recommended to practise on friends & family before offering treatments to the public.
What do the course fees include?
Your course fee includes:
- ✅ Your PDF training manuals
- ✅ Training materials
- ✅ In-person training with your tutor at your chosen location
- ✅ Assessment and certification
- ✅ Full tutor support & feedback on your assessments
In other words, everything is included!
Does the course come with a starter kit?
We do not usually include personal kits with our training courses. Instead, all the products and tools required to complete the practical elements are supplied at the training centre for you to use during the session.
This approach was adopted following student feedback. It means you are not tied to a specific kit or brand as part of the course fee before you’ve been trained and can make an informed choice. Our courses teach generic treatment techniques and processes rather than focusing on a single brand.
Why we do this
- It prevents you from having to buy expensive equipment before you know what suits your needs.
- It keeps the training brand-neutral so you learn techniques that work across multiple products.
- It helps us keep course fees lower; you can invest in the products that are right for you afterwards.
Important: in some cases, your insurance may be affected if your certificate names a specific branded product but you subsequently use a different brand. If you have concerns about insurance, check with your insurer before making purchases.
We recommend attending an in-person training session so you can get advice about different brands and suppliers. That way you can confidently purchase products from a supplier of your choice after the course.
