Providing you with all of the information and techniques you will need to perform a highly marketable, professional massage including massage to the back, legs and feet, glutes, hands and arms, abdomen, neck and chest.

Massage is undoubtedly the most natural of all healing therapies and is a skill that is embedded in human culture. Massage is one of the top services requested in salons and spas and salon/spa owners are always in pursuit of a therapist with a comprehensive range of massage skills.

Pre-requisites: None, however it is recommended that the Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology element of this course is 80% complete prior to commencing any practical training.

Course hours breakdown:

    120 guided learning hours, including self-study & assessment
  • Principles & practice of complementary therapies and business practice
    110 guided learning hours, including self-study
  • Provide body massage
    4 days practical training & 1 day assessment, plus 36 case studies – 81 guided learning hours & in person practical training
  • Starting Your Own Business (bonus course) – self study paced

Course options:

This course includes our full Level 3 Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology home study and assessment package. If you have an equivalent qualification completed within the last 3 years, you can submit your certificate as evidence of prior learning and omit this part of the course.*

Additional practical training days can be arranged as necessary.

Assessment: Completion of guided home study and preparation of written assessment prior to the practical training day. On the practical training days, continuous formative assessment, verbal questions and performance of various massage treatments with guidance from your tutor. Case studies to be completed prior to final assessment day. Final assessment review of case studies and performance of full body massage treatment (including full consultation and assessment of client, preparation of treatment plan, full body massage and aftercare) observed by tutor along with final completion of the written assessment.

Case Studies Required: Yes, 36 case studies are required to be completed within 6 months of your course.

Accrediting Body: The FHT & The CMA and approved as insurable by The FHT, Insync, BGi UK , Westminster, Balens and Wellbeing Insurance. However, please check with your own insurer to see if they will also cover this qualification
