  • ✅  Guided self-study with our course manuals
  • ✅  Practical observation and hands-on training
  • ✅  A short written assessment
  • ✅  Case studies (if your course requires them)

You will complete your guided home study before the practical training day(s).

On the practical training day(s), your tutor will assess your progress with verbal questions and by observing you as you perform a treatment.

Your written assessment is completed after the training day and submitted to your tutor within 2 weeks, except for some longer courses, where it is completed on the last training day.

For courses that require them, case studies are to be completed following the practical training day and you’ll get comprehensive guidance on how to complete them.

If you’re choosing a refresher course, it will be assessed via observation of a treatment with minimal guidance from your tutor.

All our courses include a theory component that you complete at your own pace. This is delivered as self-guided learning materials, which include:

📖  2 course manuals and additional information

You will be able to download these and start to prepare for your training as soon as you purchase your course.

💻  Online modules or e-learning content for some courses.

For example, our longer Level 3 courses come with our Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology course included as standard. And you also get access to our Business & Marketing primers on those longer courses too.

🎧  Video demonstrations and supporting resources are available for many courses, as well as audio versions of our manuals.

You should read and study all the materials thoroughly, ensuring you understand the concepts before moving on to practical training. Your tutor will want to confirm your understanding of the manuals.

The theory component can all be completed at home, allowing you to fit your study around work, family, or other commitments. Once you have completed the theory, you will be ready to attend the practical sessions, where you will apply what you have learned under the guidance of your qualified tutor.

Yes, 6 case studies are required for this course.

These must be completed within 3 months of practical training.

Your course fee includes:

  • ✅   Your PDF training manuals
  • ✅   Training materials, including a starter kit where appropriate
  • ✅   In-person training with your tutor at your chosen location
  • ✅   Assessment and certification
  • ✅   Full tutor support & feedback on your assessments

In other words, everything is included!

A kit is included in your training fee which includes antibacterial cotton thread that is specifically designed for threading. Do not use normal cotton thread you may cut your client and the thread is not strong enough so it will snap during use. Thread provided in this kit is the Vanity Antibacterial Threading thread (click link for info).

You will be using your tutor’s skin-care products in your practical work during your training day. Our training courses teach the generic treatment techniques and processes; they are not brand specific, so you are not tied to product brands used in training and are free to choose whichever brand of skincare you wish for your own client treatments. In some cases, your insurance may be invalid if you train with a branded product detailed on your training certificate and you then change to another brand therefore this is why we have chosen to train in this way.

We recommend attending training where you will gain advice about different brands and suppliers to enable you to purchase products from your chosen supplier directly following your training. Your tutor will advise you further throughout your training day.
