Course overview

This Lomi Lomi massage training course is perfect for therapists who want to offer their clients the ultimate treatment with this unique healing massage derived from the ancient Polynesians and more specifically the master healers of Hawaii.

Lomi Lomi, also known as the “loving hands” massage, combines long, flowing, wave-like strokes with breathing and intuitive techniques to promote deep relaxation and emotional release. This treatment, which is deeply spiritual and restorative, uses forearms, hands, and knuckles to work with the entire body, mimicking the movement of the ocean to harmonise the mind, body, and spirit. Lomi Lomi aims to release energy blockages, improve circulation, and promote overall well-being and a profound sense of peace.

This course is intended for qualified massage and bodywork therapists.

Pre-requisites: Level 3 Body Massage or equivalent and Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology

Model Required? Yes, if taught individually. Otherwise students will work on each other.

Course Fee includes training manual, training materials, assessment and certification

Required Self-Guided (Theory) Learning: 8 – 12 hours

Practical Course Length: 1 day full course/Half day practical refresher

Assessment: Completion of guided home study prior to the practical training day. On the practical training days, continuous formative assessment, verbal questions and performance of a Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage treatment with minimal guidance from your tutor. Written assessments to be submitted within 2 weeks of training day. Refresher courses will be assessed via observation of a Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage treatment with minimal guidance from your tutor only.

Case Studies Required: None – however practise on friends and family, following completion of practical training days, is highly recommended, prior to working on the public.

Accrediting Body: This course is fully accredited by Professional Beauty Direct (PBD) and the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) and approved as insurable by Insync, BGi UK, Professional Beauty Direct and Westminster Insurance, however please check with your own insurer to see if they will also cover this qualification.

Qualification Attained: Natural Touch Training Accredited Diploma. Certificate of Attendance for Refresher course.
