Pregnancy & Post-Natal Massage

£195.00

Aimed at qualified Therapists wishing to expand their skills, this Pregnancy & Post-Natal Massage Course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge required to provide safe, relaxing, and beneficial prenatal massage to expectant mothers.

Pregnancy massage, or “prenatal massage”, is similar to relaxation massage – it aims to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. Pregnancy massage is customised to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and the therapists trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly. This course will equip you to understand these processes and to safely treat pregnant clients with nurturing and healing massage through all stages of their pregnancy, and to ease the common discomforts associated with pregnancy.

The course is unusual in that it also deals with post-natal massage, an area that is often neglected, and will set you apart from those only trained in pregnancy massage.

Description

Course overview:

Aimed at qualified Therapists wishing to expand their skills, this Pregnancy Massage Course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge required to provide safe, relaxing, and beneficial prenatal massage to expectant mothers.

A therapist trained in pregnancy massage requires greater knowledge of pregnancy and the anatomy of a pregnant woman. The positioning during a massage is critical to the safety and well-being of both the mother and the baby she is carrying and knowledge of the contraindications to treatments and when to refer for more specialist care is vital.

This course will equip you to understand these processes and to safely treat pregnant clients with nurturing and healing massage through all stages of their pregnancy, and to ease the common discomforts associated with pregnancy.

The course is unusual in that it also deals with post-natal massage, an area which is often neglected, and will set you apart from those only trained in pregnancy massage.
